Without an account, the app stores the following locally only and does not transmit it: coin balance, best score, skins owned, upgrade levels, daily bonus, streak, mission progress and settings.
When you finish a run, we transmit the following to our server
growosx.de/capybara-api: the display name you chose, the score
you reached, your country (taken from your device region or chosen by you in
the settings), plus a random player identifier and the platform.
The purpose is to display the leaderboards. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
Please note: a leaderboard entry is permanent and is not tied to an account. It is not removed when an account is deleted. If you want it removed, contact us.
You can play the entire app without an account — choose “Continue without an account” on the sign-in screen. If you sign in with Apple, we process:

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for account, wallet and purchases; Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR for troubleshooting and abuse detection.
Why the account exists: without one, purchased currency lives only on the device and is lost when you switch devices.
In the app under Settings → Delete account. This immediately and permanently deletes your account, the Apple identity including the email address, sessions, devices, runs, wallet entries and skin ownership on the server.
Two exceptions, which we state openly:
Without an account there is nothing to delete — removing the app is enough.
Purchases are handled by Apple; we receive no payment data. To assign purchased items we use RevenueCat (RevenueCat, Inc., USA), which reports purchase events to us. Transmitted are the transaction identifier, the product and your account identifier — no payment details.
The app shows advertising via Google AdMob (Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Pkwy, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA) and mediated networks. Device identifiers (such as the advertising ID) and technical usage data may be processed.
Before the first ad we ask for your consent (a consent dialog and, on iOS, the tracking prompt). The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can withdraw consent at any time in your device settings (iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking). If you purchase the ad-free option, no ads are shown and this processing does not occur.

If you use Game Center, Apple transmits best scores to Apple’s leaderboard service. Apple’s privacy policy applies to that.
The game server runs on a server in Germany (Hetzner). Only the controller has access. Data is shared with third parties solely to the extent described in sections 6 to 8.
Account data until the account is deleted. Event reports are removed automatically after 90 days. Leaderboard entries remain until you ask for their removal.
Access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and objection under Art. 15 ff. GDPR. Please use the address above. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
Capybara Dash is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
